abortion

For the 2 groups I thought both groups had good thoughts. They both were passionate about education of both which was cool. I think that the winning team right now is pro life, because it is easy to give into there tacticts which are crazy. I lean towards choice because to be honest i really don't care about someone elses baby. I think parents should know about the kids having an abortion, and i  think that because if you are under the age of 18 parent needs to be notified. If the kid is under 17 the parents have to give concense. I think our business is our parents business too. On the other hand other people getting involved is not anybody elses business. Having the father know is a really tough call. Simply because without his siemen the baby would never have been created in the first place. So I think that sometimes its better to leave them out because who knows about the domestic violence that could follow. I like Illinois' law on abortion because banning it just makes more controversy i feel like. Also what people don't understand is that pro choice is also pro life. It just gives the option of an abortion. Most of the time people have the babies. Abortion is between someone else and whatever they believe. Government needs to stay out!!

Death Penalty 3

Stages- I think the stages for the death penalty is the pre-trial, guilt phase trial, penalty phase trial, direct appeal, post-conviction review, and finally Federal habeas corpus. The pre trial is how they get the criminal, and when arrested read rights, and it's the set up for the guilt phase trial. The 6th ammendment is right to a free trial, and therefore that is the guilt phase trial. And Finally that goes with  the penalty phase trial. The Direct appeal gives the defendant a chance to prove there was mismtakes. And the review process is to make sure that they did nothing wrong and the Federal habeas corpus takes it the federal courts if allowed and the allow it to see if it was constitutional at the highest stage. All of these make the death penalty able to be constitutional.

Methods- I think the only humane one is lethal injection. Lethal injection just gets it over with quikly and you can be at peace. The other 5 are not humane they are all cruel. All of them could feel very bad pain. Hanging someone if they are not exact the person could be hanging alive for up to 45 min. All of them have there weekness, but none of them are humane if they screw it up. Lethal injection you put in the needle and in a matter of time the person is asleep, and about to die.

States- California has most  people on death row. 14 states don't have the death penalty anymore. Texas and oklahoma both have 3 women on death row.

It  does cost more money for the execution itself, but I still believe they need the death penalty.

Death Penalty 1

I think Clifford boggess shouldve been executed. At this point in his life I think he had changed but the immediate impact he couldve made was slim. Also what I think was tricky is if he knew that he was spending all the rest of his life in jail would he have tried to find god? I don't know and I will never know, but the assumption of a criminal is that they won't change. So I think the death penalty for Clifford Boggess w as a tragedy but had to be done. I think people can change, but like I said earlier when you are in death penalty i feel that you have to go within and just accept it. So ya finding god is a great thing to find. But how do you find god if you are making paintings with sketches how to escape the prison that isn't the best way to show you've changed.

Boosie vs. Clifford Boggess

Yo today in this moment, clifford boggess is dead. Today in this moment famous Dirty South rapper Lil' Boosie is facing 5 counts of murder and a chance at the death penalty. I am comparing these cases because of reasons that I believe will effect the world. Clifford Boggess might have changed spirituality and found god, but no one got closure. Also his crimes were so grusem and for no reason but money. Lil Boosie can make right simply because of the power. But society is so screwed up. Why should a a rapper but a guy who pays a 17 year old to kill 5 people, be able to not get the death penalty? Well in my opinion he can make right easily, and help society. Power is so great that is why society is so screwed up. A guy like clifford boggess doesn't get a chance because of his hanis crimes, but boosie deserves to be freed. Thats my oppinion because I think clifford boggess had full control of the situation.

We Already freed weezy,
LETS FREE BOOSIE

4th Ammendment

Drug testing of the general body at random maybe is an idea worth looking at, but at the same time I feel it violates the students, and majority of the time it will not work. For example of violating the student, why should someone be able to look at you while you pee. Thats just uncomfortable. What if you think the teacher of the same sex is trying to make a move on you. That would be very wierd encounter in the hall, and especially after they saw your private. That's just wack. It's said no matter what happens the person is going to get super messed up no matter what they want. You want the kids not to go to school high, but the fact of the matter is people will do worse things like acid and shrooms that don't show up in drug tests. Acid and shrooms kill brain cells not paralyse like marijuana. And what are you going to do when you bust a kid that tests positive for weed? Punishing a kid might help them through highschool but when they go to college who can hold them back so what is the point to make a kid test positive. In my oppinion it looks like the school is finna be on a power struggle. Now if the school was a living enviorment then I think its another story to consider, but we live with our parents, and they are the peoples whos jobs to invade that type of privacy. It's a power struggle for no reason and it's ridiculous that the school wants more power

Students and Slaves

I never thought i would say this but I believe in school grounds I am like a slave in a field. Not in the physical aspect, and what slaves had to do but in the concept. In school they can search our lockers, why because its property of the school. So anything inside of the school is therefore able to be searched. So are we property of the school. Thats b.s. if we are because nobody owns me except my parents. My parents can control my major decisions but other than that they give me some space. The school wants to control everything. I don't belong to them like i bought my backpack and everything in there, even if there are stuff that shouldn't be in there. But my locker i understand but these things belong to me, so therefore there is no reason for them to search my stuff. MY STUFF! So we are owned. We are also kind of treated like slaves. If we don't do our homework, we lose a ton of points. Then we get a bad grade so we are pretty much taken hostage. Or like if we are late to class thats a detention. 30 min of my life taken away for a minute being late. That's ridiculous. Or lets say something more important is going on and i don't go to one of my classes i get 3% off and you tell my parents. Or lets say with teachers we have to call them Mr or Mrs, that means they pretty much above us and to be honest we are all apart of society and nothing seperates us other than they have a little more years over me. This is like slaves, if they were late on something they got whipped or had to work later. Or if they forgot to do something they would get beat and maybe killed. And if you had or made something that the master wanted and it was yours he can take it away just like the school can take away any of our stuff. Or if something was more important like your kid was hurting you couldn't nurture your baby your work was more important, and finally you always had to call your master something elegant to make them better than them and thats what the schools doing. There are so many similarities, and the school asks us why we hate school so much, if you were being treated almost like slaves, and the same concepts back then, would you want to be in that eviorment?

money... LET'S GET IT!!! *a quick overview of the street hustle*

let me start off by telling u that to get money, you need to start off where all the TRUE hustlers start off... THE STREETS.  When you grow up facing social obstacles such as poverty, racism, and the daily threat of getting run up on by a north american crackhead, one is given the perfect growing conditions to blossom into the finest hustler the world has ever seen.  In the immortal words of B.G., chopper city's very own home grown hustler, "however you gotta get it, man, make that dough."  The literal translation to this means that YOU MUST DO WHATEVER NECESSARY TO MAKE MONEY.  No shortcuts, no cop outs.  You need to be a real go getter, because go getters never go hungry, never go broke, and never have to drive in anything less than a brand new Mercedes-Benz S-550.  Now it's time to get real.  Let's look at me as an example.  Grew up on the streets.  Daddy got popped for six felonies before i popped out of the womb.  Momma worked three jobs to support me and my nine siblings.  I didnt go to school.  If you were in my situation, would you?  Didnt think so.  I had no role models, no sense of family, and most importantly, I HAD NO MONEY.  Didnt have any fresh jordan's.  Didnt have Gucci shades.  Didnt have any sort of women talking to me.  Anyway, this is getting boring.  I got on my grind, found the hustle, and now im eating 5 course meals every night.  My house is big.  My cars are big.  I got money.  My money got money.  Im just so paid, man, i smell like the vault.  Get on the hustle, or the hustle is going to get on you.
Yours Truly,

Freedom of Religion

I think that a student should be allowed to pray in school. But what is wrong for a school to force upon students to pray. Freedom of Religion is really important because it evens out a playing field. Just because someone is islamic and the other person is christian doesn't mean one is better in this country. I really think prayer or meditation would be helpful in school, but it should be a choice. If you want to pray during a meditation that is your choice. Its a win/lose situation, it could be really helpful, but it also could be too controversial, so i think students should be allowed to pray but if one does it the rest should not be forced upon.

Freedom of Speach Survey reflection

In the first question (Q1) it asks which part of the first ammendment is protected the most. 61% say freedom of speach is protected the most. And 43% say that the school has no place in punishing a student for saying inapropriate things on there own computer. So right now i was basically put on the spot for both of those. I don't get to post my opinion because i say some volgur words, and if i do basically my grade is shot. How do i handle that. That is taking away my rights and thats truely bogus. Nothing will stop me i will voice my opinion and if i don't have swears nothing can stop me. If people want to try and mess around just look at Beussink V. woodland school dsitrict. Beussink made a blog and the school tried taking it away and that is what the school is trying to do and they don't know who they are messing with.

Kirsty

This girl kirsty is so sweet. Shes got red hair and a smile that can brighten up the room. I was so happy when this girl kirsty said i could write about her cuz now i can't get in trouble. So kirsty impacts my life because shes one of those girls  that doesn't think they are too cool to say hi to me in the hall. She always says hi to me. So kirsty i appreciate you and still be the kind readhead you are. Remember My boi stevens tat= Ginger Pride....lol

School pt 2

Dude screw school. I hate it so much. I don't get why a bunch of white kids need security. Like its just a little pot and alcohol why do they have to be so concerned. And the deans getting people in trouble on facebook, stay on your own facebook page your business is not in our business. Punish for things that happens on school grounds not on private grounds. I am sick and tired of seeing the deans and the security guards and some teachers thinking they are above us. They aint nothin you guys blow and its a shame they don't know boundries and think they are better than us. Equality might not be fair, but equality means everyone is on the same level. Screw the deans and security and people that want to restrict us from being kids

School

I don't get the school and I don't get there logics. How do you expect students to like school if they are getting homework. Thats on there own time out of school to do more work. When is enough enough. Or like this why should a school get nosy on whos drinking by going on facebook. Its truly not there place. Or why should a teacher be able to tell you to shut up in her class when maybe what you have to say could help someone more than what she says. Sometimes people don't realize experience and being relative to the student will make a student want to learn and do good for you. When a teacher just gives you homework and doesn't understand that we don't want to do it, i say screw you to them and not do my homework. If a teacher relates to me and says i understand but its not worth you doing it or says i think it will benifit you i will gladly listen but they think having the power is stronger than being neutral. Lately the deans and every person in the school is on those power shrooms cause they are power tripping over everybody and i think the school needs to look at themselves in the mirror and be a lot more understanding.

Sept 11

Today in class we watched this documentary on sept 11. Its wack how people would want to take lives. What really stayed with me was not just the attack but the reaction. My favorite was in union square people were arguing about what was going on and at the end everybody gave one another a hug. That really got to me as in the pledge of allegance says one nation under god. We are one nation, and during tough times we need to stick with one another. That is why New York got thru what happen

speech codes

Something scaring must have happened to the founding fathers when they were righting the constitution. For me it feels like they were emotionally distraught before they wrote this because the constitution almost allows me to say whatever things i want. They should have censored the constitution so that these Jim Crow fraternities would get consequences. Its bogus that people can say racist shit and really mean things and are allowed too. I think speech codes are needed but its bull shit that the constitution protects stupid racist people.
